Position: Weekend Warehouse Processor (Part-Time)
Job Overview:
As a Warehouse Processor, you will play a crucial role in preparing and processing merchandise per established standards while ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Join our team at the Distribution Center located at 800 Patrol Road, Jeffersonville, IN, and work regular hours from 6am to 2:30pm every Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned tasks with direct supervision, following standard procedures to meet production goals.
- Adapt job tasks based on shift objectives and workload.
- Accurately pick merchandise for shipment based on order forms.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers by focusing on detail and time management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures within the warehouse.
- Address routine inquiries and escalate complex concerns to Supervisors or Managers.
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members to enhance process efficiency and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Work independently or as part of a team, completing tasks as assigned.
- Make efficient decisions to optimize order processing.
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards consistently.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in all communications.
- Complete additional warehouse tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- A minimum age of 16 years is required.
- Related work experience of at least one year is preferred but not mandatory.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Mental activities include:
- Basic mathematical operations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Understanding team goals and customer needs through active listening and appropriate questioning.
- Seeking clarification for unclear tasks.
- Physical activities include:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, reach for, and grasp merchandise as required.
- Lifting or carrying weights between 25-50 lbs regularly.
- Continuous physical exertion, including walking, standing, bending, and material handling.
- Work Environment:
- Standard schedule of eight hours per shift; overtime varies based on workload.
- Working hours are consistent but not guaranteed due to fluctuations in workflow.
- Experience varying internal climate conditions, including hot and cold extremes.
- Work in a drug and alcohol-free environment.
