Library Summer Reading Intern Part Time
Join the Beaverton City Library Community Engagement Team as our Summer Reading Intern and get an intro to library work! The Summer Reading Intern is a grant-funded position for a high school intern to help with the Summer Reading Program (SRP), train and oversee teen volunteers, maintain the summer reading books, implement a service project, and plan and facilitate storytimes at an outreach site. Youll gain valuable professional library experience while sharing the joy of the Summer Reading Program with kids, teens, and their families. The intern in this position will have a chance to gain skills in:Supervisory experience through training and supervising volunteers. Outreach including storytime experience. Programming experience. Customer service and answering questions at a library service desk. Planning and organizational skills. Communication skills within a professional library setting.
