This is a hands‑on opportunity to work alongside experienced legal professionals in a dynamic, fast‑growing environmental services company. The intern will gain meaningful exposure to corporate transactional work, litigation support, and regulatory compliance, all within an industry at the intersection of environmental law, energy, and technology.This position is open to law students at any stage of their legal education (1L, 2L, or 3L; rising law school entrants).Key ResponsibilitiesContracts and Transactional WorkAssist in drafting, reviewing, and summarizing contracts, master service agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreementsSupport due diligence efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, and business development activitiesMaintain and organize contract management systems and templatesLitigation SupportAssist with research and preparation of legal memoranda related to disputes or claimsHelp organize and manage litigation files, discovery materials, and case timelinesCoordinate with outside counsel on active matters as neededCompliance and RegulatoryResearch federal and state environmental regulations (EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, etc.) relevant to Alliance’s service linesSupport preparation of compliance reports, regulatory filings, and internal policy documentationMonitor regulatory developments affecting the environmental services industryGeneral Legal SupportConduct legal research and prepare summaries on a variety of topicsAssist with corporate governance matters and maintain corporate recordsSupport the Legal Department on special projects as assignedQualificationsCurrently enrolled in an ABA‑accredited law school (1L, 2L, or 3L)Strong legal research and writing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyIntellectual curiosity and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindsetInterest in environmental law, regulatory compliance, or corporate law is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal research platforms (Westlaw, LexisNexis) preferredWhat You Will GainDirect exposure to in‑house legal practice at a growing national companyExperience across multiple legal disciplines, including transactional, litigation, and regulatory workMentorship from seasoned legal professionalsA front‑row seat to the environmental services industry and its evolving regulatory landscapeLocation, Schedule and RateThis position is based in Louisville, Kentucky.
