Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Billing & Support Specialist Contractor (part-time) to assist our busy in-house legal team for 20 hours per week. This position requires exceptional critical-thinking skills, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, technical competency, and a comprehensive understanding of legal and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping the legal team operate smoothly and efficiently to achieve daily and long-term goals within our corporate office.
What You’ll Do
- Manage legal vendors and matters within Simple Legal, our e-Billing platform, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and requirements:
- Reviewing and approving invoices
- Validation of proper coding
- Generating spend reports
- Collaborating with regional billing specialists and outside counsel
- Working closely with internal accounting to ensure timely payments
- Assist the legal team with additional projects and tasks as needed.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years at a law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must possess the confidence to work and devise solutions independently, and be willing to take initiative and identify process improvements.
- Technology-savvy and an expert in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulous with details and organization.
- High-level of discretion vital in working closely with confidential and sensitive information of the Company.
- Experience with Simple Legal/CounselGo billing platform preferred.

Pay Range: $25 – $27 per hour
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
