Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Inventory Reconciliation Accuracy (IRA) team. In this role, you will help ensure inventory accuracy and material integrity throughout the facility by supporting inventory reconciliation activities, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating the movement and verification of parts and materials. Working closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient operations in the production of diesel engines and generators. Overtime as requiredRelocation assistance is NOT available for this position.Visa Sponsorship is NOT available for this position.What you will do: Operate forklifts and other power equipment to move materials within the facilityPerform inventory reconciliation activities to identify, research, and resolve inventory discrepanciesConduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory verification processes in support of inventory accuracy goalsInvestigate inventory variances and work cross-functionally to determine root causes and corrective actionsMonitor and maintain accurate inventory transactions and records within inventory management systemsFollow standard operating procedures and area-specific work instructionsReport to managers and be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demandsOccasionally participate in training and developmentPerform any other assigned dutiesWhat you will have: Minimum of 2 months’ experience in a machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environment or industry certificationAbility to work well with othersAbility to read, write, and interpret documents in EnglishGeneral knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and/or PowerPointAbility to adhere to safety proceduresWhat would make you a top candidate: Previous experience and/or certification in operating tricycles, forklifts, tugger, and/or other power equipmentPrevious experience working in a logistics environment supporting assembly of productsPrevious experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard WorkPrevious experience with inventory management systems, preferably MAMMPhysical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to perform repetitive operationsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs.We are committed to ensuring a supportive and accommodating work environment for all employees.
