The OSU Brewery Internship is only open to students currently enrolled in the Fermentation Science program at Oregon State University. Any applications received from individuals not currently enrolled in this program will not be considered. The OSU Brewery Intern is responsible for performing all tasks related to brewery work and being part of a busy McMenamins property. That means the ideal candidate is a diligent worker with strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to be flexible and patient when dealing with front of house staff and customers. This position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, filling and delivering property keg orders, cleaning kegs, cleaning the brewery, general cleaning, and kegging and canning beer. The Brewery intern will also be required to gain aptitude in cellar tasks like monitoring fermentation, tank cleaning and CIP, dry-hopping, cropping yeast, carbonating beer, and other critical beer-related jobs.
