Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor-Central Distribution; Monday-Friday 10:00PM-6:00AM.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for assisting the Manager of Central Distribution in the control of inventory supplies maintained under perpetual inventory, assisting in accomplishing facility inventory turn goals and other inventory related objectives within the department, including but not limited to, accurate recommended reorder points, reorder quantities, limit out of stock issues, increase use of consignment, ongoing evaluation of supply movement, and acts as backup to Inventory/Receiving Coordinator position as needed. Also responsible for first line supervision of all Central Distribution activities, staff scheduling, shift management and the coordination of delivery of medical surgical supplies to the nursing units.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Healthcare related field or a combination of similar education and experience. Knowledge of Materials Management general operations. Strong skills related to the management of inventory control with a minimum three years of responsible of progressive work experiences in supply distribution. Knowledge of specific health care products. Must possess computer knowledge. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of formal supervision principles, leadership education and/or the Certification in Healthcare Leadership concepts. Certification in materials resources CMRP or IAHCSMMs materials management certification. Knowledge of inventory control software such as Pathways Materials Management. Current membership and active participation in a relevant professional organizations.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 – $62,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
