ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join the very busy Editorial Recruiting Team. The successful Volunteer will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for editorial positions at WhoWhatWhy. You will establish strong relationships with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners, ensure a smooth full life-cycle recruitment process, and foster an extraordinary candidate experience. You will conduct research, work with candidates, develop talent pipelines, and manage a candidate database. Additional responsibilities include the following:Manage and execute the full recruitment life-cycle for editorial positions, from reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and closing candidatesBuild relationships and collaborate with Hiring Managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions, discuss talent, and make hiring recommendationsProactively source and screen candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipelineEnsure a smooth, smart, innovative, and engaging recruitment process to establish an outstanding candidate experienceTeam up with HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers to get the best candidates in and on-boarded as quickly as possibleUtilize the applicant tracking system (JazzHR) to move candidates from the selection to the on-boarding phaseConduct reference checksStay on top of recruiting trends and best practices to implement within the Editorial Department and across the organizationRequired Qualifications 2 years of professional recruiting experience in the media industry or related field2 years of experience working with applicant tracking systemsDesired Qualifications Prior experience recruiting and sourcing candidates for editorial roles or within an editorial organizationProven ability to ideate and implement creative and strategic talent sourcing techniques, resume evaluation, and candidate assessmentProven ability to quickly build relationships with Hiring Managers, colleagues, and candidates to meet hiring objectivesExcellent organization, prioritization, and presentation skillsExceptional ability in written and verbal communication with all levelsExperience with JazzHR and the G-Suite a big plus (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, and Gmail)Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related fieldPerksWork in a collaborative and exciting organization in a crucial and socially relevant fieldInteract with people at all levelsLearn the nuts and bolts of media and nonprofit operationsCollaborate with smart, accomplished co-workersHave fun and make a difference Expectations All Volunteers work remotely and on your own schedule, as we believe remote work is essential to cultivate a productive and happy culture. We also require a minimum commitment of 10-15 hours/ week, though doing more is not discouraged Because our Volunteers are spread throughout the world, we communicate mostly through Slack and email, and team members are requested to be responsive in a timely manner.
