Our client, located in New Haven, is a property management company with over 70 locations/properties across Fairfield and New Haven Counties. They have commercial, residential, and private estate portfolios, and have been in business for about 40 years. They’ve partnered with CFS to identify a Part-time Accounting Clerk to join their team due to a vacancy in the department. This would be 25 hours per week, and the Part-time Accounting Clerk must be available to work 5 days a week – 5 hours per day. Duties for Accounting Clerk will include: Review invoices, make copies of invoices and send to appropriate departments for approval. Match invoices and determine account coding. Input all vendor invoices in system. Select invoices for payment. Prepare check voucher and submit for approvals. Reconcile vendor accounts. Receive cash items. Post and reconcile payments to ledger. Balances daily batches and reports. Review credit balances and reports. Filing, faxing, photo copying, and other accounting support functions as assigned. BS Accounting is a plus, Associates is ideal. Must be flexible, and interested/able to work a part-time schedule. Must be organized, accurate, and able to work in a busy environment.
