ABOUT THE JOB
The Crown Heights Counseling Center provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling in a comfortable, confidential environment. The licensed mental health professionals provide a wide range of services, including counseling for the aging, metal health assessments and crisis intervention, medication evaluation and management, as well as counseling service for school-age children.
The Office Assistant is responsible for providing general secretarial and office work for the department. Specific responsibilities include: Typing various schedules and reports
Disbursing reports, preparing analyses as needed
Generating and distributing monthly statistical reports
Reviewing fee receipts
Tracking payments
Operating copy machine
Distributing and reconciling petty cash.
Relieving reception and other clerical duties as directed by office manager
Responsible for filing material in case records, and other filing.
Maintaining case record files.
Sorting, indexing and filing correspondence
Procures file material on request.
Recording material removed from files.
Assisting Director and Office Manager with Administrative projects as needed
Other duties as assigned.
This is a Part-Time, 12 hours per week position.
TO QUALIFY
The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented Office Assistants of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: High School Diploma with relevant courses and/or experience in typing, filing, and record keeping.
Excellent Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
Ability and willingness to learn new systems and application software
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs
