This internship is a pathway to future employment in Human Resources at Diageo.Program Overview:Get ready for a summer of learning and fun as you get on-the-job training and mentoring and real-world experience in a great place to Work like Diageo.The HR internship consists of 2 possible areas that make up the HR function at Diageo in the US:HR Business Partner (HRBP): Projects related to HR focus areas: talent management, capability building or high-performance culture supporting one or more functions (Commercial, Supply or Corporate).Center of Excellence (COE): Strategic program design, and implementation relating to:Inclusion & DiversityLearning & DevelopmentTotal RewardsEmployee RelationsAs a summer intern, you will get first-hand experience with our work, our people, our values, and our culture. Summer interns are given real responsibilities and challenges with projects that have an immediate impact on the business. Throughout the summer, interns are given multiple opportunities to interact with senior management through both their project work as well as educational and cultural events. All interns also receive individual coaching and training from their immediate manager, and the opportunity to show results. You will be expected to perform to our high standards and are given the same kind of performance feedback we give our full-time employees.During the 10-week summer internship, you will have the opportunity to work on value-add business projects. At the conclusion of the summer, you will present this project to the HR leadership team.Sample ProjectsWith input from senior management and experts:Design a plan for a successful return to workplace in current environmentDevelop an engagement & communication plan around the Inclusion & Diversity agendaSupport in executing a multidimensional coaching program across the organizationDevelop and launch a harmonized and impactful recognition program across the regionDesign a model to measure effectiveness of the MBA internship programKey QualificationsStrong interpersonal/communication skillsDemonstrated leadership and organization skillsStrong analytical skills: ability to analyze data and make decisionsCreative thinking and problem solvingCollaborative team playerAbility to maintain high standards of confidentialityHR MBA interns typically have 2 to 5 years of work experienceDiageo will not sponsor individuals for U.S. work authorization in connection with this program.
