Facility Technician Part Time

JOB SUMMARY

The Refrigerant Recovery Technician is responsible for operating refrigerant recovery, recycling and reclaiming devices to minimize refrigerant impact on the environment and enable the safe disposal of refrigerant units.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.
  • Insure compliance with CFC-related regulations.
  • Minimize refrigerant loss and maximize recovery by employing effective leak detection, maintenance procedures and through the use of reclaiming, recycling and recovery equipment.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Immediately report any safety violations and corrects unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or its equivalent
    • At least six months of related experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC principles and techniques
    • Working knowledge of the different types of refrigerants, as well as the proper disposal and recycling procedures for each
    • Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the assigned work area
    • Problem-solving and solution implementation skills
    • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
    • Reliable transportation
    • Availability to work after standard business hours, holidays and weekends, as scheduled

    REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

    • Clean Air Act Section 608 Technician Certification, Level I and II
